SRMSJMS Special Issue Policy

General Policy

  1. SRMSJMS Special Issue is not considered a standard proceeding that contains only abstracts or short papers, often without full peer review. Publication of manuscripts in a Special Issue of SRMSJMS is subject to compliance with all provisions of the following documents:

(i) the SRMSJMS Guide for Authors,

(ii) the requirements stated in this policy, and

(iii) the agreement made between the requester of the Special Issue and SRMSJMS.

  1. The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief of SRMSJMS.
  2. A minimum of seven manuscripts accepted by the Editor-in-Chief is required for publication of a Special Issue.
  3. The maximum number of manuscripts accepted by the Editor-in-Chief for publication in a Special Issue is 15.
  4. The length of an accepted manuscript for publication should be between 8 and 10 pages.
  5. The copyrights of SRMSJMS Special Issues, as with regular issues, belong to the Department of Mathematics, SRMSCET, Bareilly.
  6. All review-related data for the Special Issue must be shared with the Editor-in-Chief of the journal by the Guest Editors’ Liaison.
  7. A publication fee may be applicable for the Special Issue to manage the publication cost.
  8. Minimum Requirements to be Included in the Agreement between the Requester of the Special Issue and SRMSJMS
  9. A list of potential Guest Editors (at least three), including their names, institutional affiliations, and brief vitae, must be provided.
  10. A possible nominee for Guest Editors’ Liaison should be identified to communicate with the Editor-in-Chief.
  11. Manuscripts submitted to the Guest Editors must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  12. No part of any previously published material, such as definitions, theorems, lemmas, or propositions from books or journals authored by others, may be directly included in a submitted manuscript. However, such material may be discussed in paraphrased form with proper citation.
  13. All submitted manuscripts must be reviewed by at least two qualified reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
  14. Authors may be given only one opportunity to revise their manuscripts after peer review.
  15. Manuscripts must be written in grammatically correct and fluent English, with appropriate punctuation, and must comply with the SRMSJMS Guide for Authors.
  16. The Guest Editors’ Liaison is responsible for ensuring that all selected manuscripts comply with the SRMSJMS Guide for Authors.
  17. If a selected manuscript submitted to the Editor-in-Chief does not comply with the requirements of the SRMSJMS Guide for Authors, it may be rejected immediately.
  18. Manuscripts that have been reviewed and recommended by the Guest Editors must be submitted by the Guest Editors’ Liaison to the Editor-in-Chief before the deadline specified in the agreement for completion of the review process.
  19. Only manuscripts accepted by the Editor-in-Chief will be considered for publication.
