Optimizing Crop Planning for Smallholder Farmers: A Fuzzy Multi-Objective Linear Programming Approach
Main Article Content
Abstract
This studyis to optimize crop production planning for smallholder farmers using a fuzzy multiobjective
linear programming model. For this Sadapkpor village of Navsari, Gujarat farmers
agricultural data used for decision-making in this region.Thefuzzy logic was used to stochastic
the variables, including fluctuating market prices and volatile input costs. The proposed
model addresses these uwncertainties, allowing farmers to balance conflicting objectives like
maximizing total profit, minimizing production costs, and optimizing financial risk. The model
was solve using LINGO software, and the results of the proposed model given the best crop
plans that help farmers to optimize cost and utilize land properly compared to the traditional
methods.Overall, this framework offers smallholder farmers a practical and data-driven tool
for more resilient and profitable crop planning under uncertainty.
